Catching up on Cavalier Brilliance (Delonte dunks on Josh Smith?)

So we've been away for a few days, and the Cavs have been doing work. Since December 25th Christmas beatdown of the Lakers, the Cavs have continued their tear through a tough road trip, and extended their winning streak to 6.

First up was a trip to Houston to faca a tough Rockets team, who you should remember beat the Cavs in their last meeting. The Cavs won 108-83, and LeBron had 29 points and 6 assists in 30 minutes. This game was close at halftime but when the Rockets started bricking every shot they took, the Cavs pounced and it wasn't even a contest.

Coming up after the blow-out in Houston was this Tuesday, when the Cavs played the first game of a back-to-back away/home series with the Hawks on consecutive days. This game was ugly, but the Cavs resurged in the second half led by Delonte West and LeBron. This was the Hawks game to win, but the Cavaliers defensive effort in the fourth quarter was something to behold, and they simply would not allow the Hawks to settle in offensively. The best play of this game came when Delonte West drove down the court with shot-blocker Josh Smith hot on his trail. In case you haven't been watching the Cavs recently, Delonte West has been sick, throwing down dunks that are top-play worthy of Sportscenter highlights. Josh Smith landed himself #7 on ESPN's top-plays, as he was posterized/ by Delonte in a beautiful display of dunksmanship. In summation: Delonte resembles Vince Carter, Cavs win 5th straight in a row, including 5/6 on the road, and Cavs clamp down in 4th quarter to shut down tough Hawks team. LeBron loves playing for Cleveland. Cleveland loves LeBron. LeBron James is Underrated

Merry Christmas Cleveland, Cavs beat-down Lakers 102-87

Apparently the Lakers don't know the true meaning of Christmas. The Cavaliers showed up to the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Christmas Day, and delivered a knock-out punch to the Laker organization. LeBron and the rest of the Cavaliers were calling this game a "measuring stick" to judge how far the team has come this season. I'd say we did pretty well, considering we owned a 20 point lead in the first half, and the Lakers (more specifically Kobe Bryant) were booed off their own court in a game the Cavs simply dominated.

There are too many things to talk about with this game. Let's start with the Cavs. LeBron only needed to score 26 points, and the rest of the team played outstanding. Jamario Moon was very efficient, connecting on several deep shots and throwing down several dunks including an alley-oop from Mo Williams. Shaquille O' Neal came out of the gate strong, and had 3 close-range dunks in the first quarter alone. Mo Williams led the Cavaliers in scoring, racking up 28 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. (Doesn't that sound like LeBron's usual statline?)

The Cavs were simply on-fire last night, and the Lakers couldn't handle the onslaught of dagger 3-pointers as well as the stifling defense the Cavaliers were playing. This was a clear message to the defending NBA champions that Cleveland is a legitimate title contender this year, and that Zydrunas and Shaq on the floor together is an impossible matchup for any team, even the Lakers.

Now for the Lakers.. where do I begin? Let me start off by saying that the entire Los Angeles Laker Organization is a bunch of overrated, under-achieving, self-promoting group of people who showed in this game precisely why they are the biggest babies in the entire league.

Kobe Bryant.. all hail the great Kobe Bryant. Sick Kobe, you managed to score 35 points on 11/32 shooting, while making all your teammates worse. You cried to the officials every single time you went up for a layup, when the Cavaliers were clearly just playing good defense. You threw up shot after shot, and missed more than 20 times. Maybe you should hit the weight room like LeBron does, so that you don't fall to the ground over the slightest bit of contact every time you drive to the lane. Unlike you, LeBron actually trusts his teammates and doesn't have to throw up 30 shots to feel good about himself. Also, try talking some sense into your loud-mouthed, over-paid running mate Lamar Odom, who managed to get ejected after his second technical foul. Or maybe you could tell Derek Fisher to stop being a complete prick. Better yet, stop thinking you're better than you are, when LeBron showed why he is by far the better player.

The Lakers childish behavior was exemplified by the Laker crowd, who decided to throw their foam fingers and water bottles onto the court. Real classy Los Angeles, while we're supposed to be enjoying an NBA game on Christmas Day, and you decide to act like a group of 4 year olds who pooped their pants and can't figure out why. I'm sick of the Lakers and their fans thinking their team is so great, and that Kobe Bryant is the best thing ever. I've said it before, and I still think this; Kobe is an selfish, egotistical, shovenistic prick, and he always will be. He may have 4 rings, but 3 of those came on the back of Shaquille O' Neal. You don't deserve to be talked about as one of the best players in the league anymore. You don't even deserve to be made into a puppet alongside LeBron James in the Nike Commercials. Your team is falling apart; Lamar Odom is a scrub (have fun with Khloe Kardashian), and Derek Fisher resembles an angry old man. The Lakers are missing Trevor Ariza, and without him they aren't the same team. Did I mention I hate the Lakers? LeBron James is the reigning MVP, and he intends to be again. Cavs hold on in OT vs. Sacramento (Z for Three!)

So I've been busy with Christmas shenanigans, and I've been lazy about doing my posts. In case you missed it, the Cavs won in Sacramento on Wednesday in a game that I predicted the Cavs would dominate.. Whoops. They barely held on to send this game into overtime, and even without Kevin Martin the Cavs looked shaky throughout the game.

LeBron did have an amazing triple-double, and kept the Cavs in the game. Even though LB did work, Zydrunas was the reason we won this game. After the Cavs stopped Sacramento from even getting a shot up to force overtime, big Z decided to step his game up. Ilgauskas did the unthinkable, sending in three straight 3-pointers from the same exact spot in the corner to seal the deal in OT. The Kings couldn't make a basket, and the Cavs won 117-104.

I would talk more about this sick victory, but I'm watching the Cavs hold on to 10 point lead vs. the Lakers right now. The referees are helping the Lakers and did I mention I hate Kobe Bryant? He's such an arrogant butthead. They're up right now, and I'm sure LeBron will seal the deal when he guards Kobe for the better part of the 4th quarter. Andrew Exler knows.. LeBron > Kobe. Cavs crush Phoenix, now look past Sacramento to Lakers showdown

Contrary to popular belief, the desert is a nice place to visit. Well not really, but the Cavaliers went in to Phoenix and came out with a 109-91. Global warming? Not so much. The Cavs cooled off the Suns, ending their 19 game home win streak. This put the Cavs in a good position as they look past the Sacramento Kings tonight to the real matchup of the week with the Lakers on Christmas Day.

LeBron James was thoroughly better than his competition last night. Early in the 1st quarter, he ran opposite Mo Williams on the fastbreak and Mo threw a delicious bounce pass that LeBron handled full sprint and he proceeded to dunk the ball so hard that I was wondering if the Suns would just quit on the spot. However, the Suns foolishly played out the rest of the game and Amare Stoudemire probably wishes they hadn't. What happened to Amare will happen to players time and time again. When you watch LeBron steal the ball, drive to the lane, and basically do nothing to stop him, he will make you look like a D-league player as he dunks over you. That dunk (pictured right) was absolutely spectacular. Amare, you just got posterized by the King.

The Cavs really didn't play all that well in the first half, and at one point trailed 42-34. But they turned it around, and in the second half they never looked back. When LeBron nailed a 3 pointer giving the Cavs a 105-86 lead, (following a technical foul from the frustrated Stoudemire) the game was already out of reach for the Suns. Coach Alvin Gentry had no answer for the Cavaliers potent offensive attack, and even with a sub-par performance from Shaquille O' Neal, the Suns were by far outmatched. Their 18 turnovers led to 30 points for the Cavs, and they just don't have what it takes to beat a tough Cleveland team.

Expect the Cavs to pulverize Sacramento tonight, who will be playing without their best (only) player Kevin Martin. Sacramento is such a joke right now, and tonight the "King" will show the "Queens" how Cleveland plays basketball. I could be wrong, but my prediction for tonight is 124-16 Cavs. Sacramento won't be able to score, and the King will have monster dunks in similar fashion from the Suns beatdown. LeBron wants to send a message to the Lakers who really aren't ready for what the Cavs are going to do on Christmas Day at 5 pm. Get ready for a classic. LeBron James is underrated

Cavs lose to Dirk-less Dallas Mavericks, need to win tonight @ Phoenix

Okay, so the Cavs lost to the Dallas Mavericks last night. I don't even really want to talk about it. Dallas is a pretty good team this year, and even without Dirk Nowitzki who was wearing a suit, they matched up well with the Cavs. At least Delonte played well again, and that's a good sign for the Cavs.

Another thing that I will say is shame on the Mavericks for what they did at the end of the game. It was 100-95, and with basically no time remaining, the Cavs were ready to concede defeat and let the Mavericks dribble out the ball. Instead, Mark Cuban's team decided to throw the ball down the length of the court, and a player I hate (Eric Dampier) put in a lay-up to seemingly slap the Cavs in the face. Screw you Dampier, and the rest of the Mavericks for that matter. You can score on us when we've given up, Awesome. Don't let it happen again. Regardless, the Cavs will remember that little stunt and LeBron will make you pay next time.

The Cavaliers face another tough road test in about an hour, as they travel to Phoenix to play a solid Suns team, who will be ready for the Cavs who are playing back-to-back games. Please LeBron just win tonight, so we don't start another losing streak. The Cavs will definitely win Wednesday vs. the Sacramento Queens, so it would be nice to have a winning streak going into the all-important Christmas Day showdown with the Lakers. Kobe is playing with a broken finger, and the Cavs need to win that game to show the rest of the league that they're serious about winning an NBA title this year.

I don't know if the Cavs have the pieces right now to beat the Lakers, considering their plethora of big men (Gasol, Bynum) that match up well with our own. But as long as someone can keep a hand in Kobe's face when he's shooting, we should have a good chance to come out of Los Angeles with a victory. Senior Citizen Phil Jackson has lost his touch, and might as well have a rocking chair on the sidelines. The Lakers are a bunch of over-paid scrubs, and they will not win a title this year. LeBron will take that honor, along with another MVP trophy, and the Cavs will sweep them in the Finals. LeBron James is underrated

Cavs win 85-82 (this is not what a 5-game winning streak feels like)

What happens in Cleveland stays in Cleveland.. sort of. In the NBA, it doesn't matter how bad a team looks, just what the end result is. The Cavs won another game by a very narrow margin, and this has become an increasingly alarming trend. Why are we playing down to crappy teams levels? Is this what we can expect from the Cavs this season?

The Cavaliers led the game late in the 4th quarter 85-75.. and never scored another point. They turned the ball over multiple times, missed shot after shot, and let the Bucks crawl back into the game. The Cavs ended up winning 85-82, but this was far from an impressive performance. One could almost argue that the Bucks deserved to win this game, and they just might have if Michael Redd could remember what it felt like to make a 3 pointer (or hit the rim). The Cavs played one of the ugliest first halves in recent memory, throwing up bricks left and right. They had their run to end the 3rd quarter, and then played like a bunch of hooligans who couldn't do a damn thing. I wish I could blame Mike "Clown" Brown but that was just not the case.

All things considered, it could be worse. (Nets anyone?) The Cavs just won their 5th straight game, and did it against a tough Bucks team who took Kobe and the Los Angeles Fakers down to the wire losing 107-106. Brandon Jennings is a force to be reckoned with, and his ability to finish in a crowded lane, while also possessing a sick shooting stroke makes him a pretty legit PG in this league.

The Bucks held the Cavs under 90 points. Are teams are starting to figure out how to defend the Cavaliers? It's not really a secret, you force LeBron to be a jump-shooter and play perimeter defense on our dangerous 3 point threats. That's easier said than done though, and sometimes forcing LeBron to shoot from outside is comparable to shooting yourself in the foot. The only thing that I am beginning to question about LeBron is that sometimes the ball movement seems to die when he is on the court. This is not always the case, but when the King feels like taking the game over, he has a tendency to hold the ball and do his own thing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to tell him he's wrong. He got us to the NBA finals, and has us on a 5 game winning streak. But when it comes down to beating the Lakers, we're going to need to rely on ball movement and support play from Mo-Mo, Delonte, Gibson, and the rest of our squad. Delonte had a huge game for us and was a major reason we won this game. At halftime, ESPN showed an interesting statistic that made me question our decision to start Shaq over Z. When Z is on the floor with LeBron, the Cavs have outscored opponents by over 100 points. When Shaq is on the floor, that number is barely a positive integer. Does Z need to play more? The answer is yes. Does Shaq need to stop committing offensive fouls? For sure, but the refs have not been calling him fairly. Does Mike Clown need to realize all of this, while getting the Cavs to play better against sub .500 teams? Obviously. Will LeBron fix everything before the playoffs? Absolutely. Cavs win shaky affair vs. 76ers (thanks LeBron)

The Cavaliers traveled to Philadelphia last night, and went down to the wire needing an impressive 4th quarter run to take this game 108-101. LeBron did yet again (36 points) what was needed to keep the Cavs from losing to a team that they have no business being in a close game with. Philadelphia gave the Cavaliers all they could handle and led late in the fourth quarter until Bron Bron (along with some help from Mo) decided to save the day once again by hitting two crowd-silencing 3 pointers. Mo Williams also came to play, and Shaq dominated in the first quarter making several of his jump-turn hook shots. Boobie Gibson did not miss a single 3 pointer he shot. If Gibson shoots such a high percentage from behind the arc, why does he not get 25 shots a game? Mike Brown may think he may presents a defensive liability since he's really a 2-guard and he's always matched up against taller players, but from what I've seen this season his defense has improved significantly. He only played 26 minutes last night and went 3-3 from behind the line, giving the Cavs 9 points.. let him play 40 and see what happens.

Andre Igoudala led the 76ers with 26 points, and he definitely had a monster throwdown loosely comparable to the tenacity LeBron shows on his own sort of signature dunk. I wonder if Austin Carr said to himself.. "throws the hammer down?" LeBron did have several impressive drive and slams also, and showed Igoudala why he's not even close to his level. The 76ers are a team that runs at every conceivable chance they get, and they won the fastbreak points statistic 30-14, which really never translates to wins for them. They have a lot of young talent with Igoudala, Jrue Holiday, and Thaddeus Young. Once this team can figure out how to score points in a half-court set, and they get a legitimate center, (Brand you suck) they may be able to compete in the Eastern Conference. Igoudala needs a better supporting cast, which brings me to "The Answer."

After watching once city-savior Allen Iverson make one-third of the shots he threw up, it was obvious to all that he does not help this team and most often just gets in the way. His 4 for 12 shooting was far from the answer, and made me question whether he should even be coming off the bench for this team. "Practice? We talking bout practice?" Yeah, we are actually, and you could use some. Allen, do us all a favor by retiring, so we can remember when you were actually good. There's a reason you were traded to Denver, shipped to Detroit, signed with Memphis, and now found yourself back with the 76ers. Your plus-minus was -11, meaning your team played worse with you on the floor. You can't come off the bench? No team worth playing for is going to start you, and your return to Philly was pretty much pointless. LeBron will never leave Cleveland, and if he did he wouldn't return after he clearly lost a step, to take minutes away from players who need all the experience they can get. No team will ever feel bad enough for LeBron that they let him come in and make a bad situation even worse. Iverson is no longer the answer, his new nickname should be "The Unwanted". LeBron James is the answer. LeBron James is underrated

Devin Harris gets ejected, should face assault charge while Cavs cut down Nets 99-89

Tonight the worst team in the NBA showed up to Quicken Loans Arena. The 2-23 New Jersey Nets are the laughing stock of the league, and the Cavs beat them 99-89 without really trying. Shaq and Z came to play, and LeBron did what was needed to beat this team that I now have no respect for. I could have told you yesterday the Cavs were going to win this game, and it really means nothing for the Cavs. Now let me get to what I really need to say.

Devin, Devin, Devin... we are going to have issues. Don't get me wrong. I know you think you can play basketball, but you are on the worst team in the NBA. You think you're better than you actually are, and you deserve to be charged with assault after what occured tonight. Devin Harris you are so far from relevant right now, (other than making history with the worst start for a team ever) and your assault on Jamario Moon should land you behind bars. I don't know how they do it in New Jersey, but here in Ohio you get 10-20 years for that kind of stunt. I can't believe you didn't get punched in the face for trying to take out Jamario, and I'm glad the referees made the correct (obvious) decision to kick you off the court. Regardless of whether or not you were trying to block the basketball, you didn't come close. The only thing that you did do was physically assault the neck/head area of one of my favorite new Cavaliers. Trust me when I tell you, LeBron took it easy on you when he slammed you into the padded base of the basket after you tried to take off Moon's head. Had LeBron not shielded you, a beatdown from Shaquille O' Neal was looking probable.

Your team's record is 2-23. That's 2 wins, 23 losses. You are literally on the worst team in NBA history. So why did you decide to almost paralyze Jamario Moon? Take your frustration out on your own team in the locker room. Whatever your excuse is, I'm not buying it. And I hope the NBA fines you and suspends you for all future games played against the Cavaliers. We don't tolerate crappy, overrated players trying to take out important pieces to the Cavaliers franchise. Devin Harris, Joel Pryzbilla, Joakim Noah, and Elton Brand all have one thing in common. (They all play for teams that suck?) Yes, but I was thinking more along the lines of they all will get what's coming to them. (Help me out here Shaq) LeBron says there is no place in the game for plays like what Devin Harris did last night. LeBron James is underrated

Mo drops half-court shot (no big deal), LeBron drops 44 in Cavs rout of Thunder

On a night when LeBron had a season-high 44 points 7 rebounds and 6 assists, Mo Williams stole the show. Playing in Oklahoma City last night, the Cavs defeated the Thunder 102-89. LeBron was putting on a shooting clinic, and drilled three straight 3-pointers to end the third quarter giving the Cavs the lead. Mo Wiliams then added 3 of his own from deep in the 4th quarter, including one from the circus-variety, while the Cavs held Oklahoma City to 6 out of 20 shooting in the final quarter.

The best part of the game came when LeBron threw a pass to Mo Williams that was deflected into the Cavaliers backcourt. With the shot clock winding down, Mo picked the ball up 48 feet away from the basket, set his sights and drilled a half-court shot. It left the Thunder players in shock, and the fans couldn't believe what had just happened. Mo acted like it was no big deal, and proceeded to walk back on defense and get ready for the next play. Turns out that practicing these half-court shots after practice can actually help in the game, as Maurice made very clear. The Thunder had been playing great defense in that particular possession, and had to have known it wasn't going to be their night following Mo's crowd-silencing, momentum-draining half-court heave. There was only 4 minutes left in the game and it put the Cavs up 7 points, and Oklahoma City would never get closer.

"I knew I had three seconds [on the shot clock]," said Williams, who hit two other 3-pointers in the fourth and scored 22 points overall.

"I had time to get my feet together, follow through it and give it a chance. It felt real good. We mess around after practice all the time and create crazy shots to make, and you never know when they're going to come in the game."

In the game's final 13 minutes, the Cavs outscored the Thunder 33-13. LeBron hit 5/8 three-pointers in the game, and one of his was ridiculously deep as well. The Cavs are building their confidence, and despite Kevin Durant's 29 points they still managed to close the door on a talented Thunder squad. The Cavs are on a roll, and expect them to continue this success Tuesday against the New Jersey Nets. 11 out of 22 three pointers in a game where Daniel Gibson was still inactive? I like our chances when he gets back.

Other than Mo's half court magic, my favorite play of the game came in the first quarter when LeBron had a simple And-1 layup. His momentum carried him into the second row of the Thunder crowd, where a young boy was crushing some chili cheese fries. LeBron looked at the fries, removed his mouthguard, stole a few, then high-fived the youngster. Who else can get away with that? LeBron is the real deal. LeBron James is underrated

Why Skip Bayless is Wrong about LeBron James

It is clearly evident to everyone in the world that Skip Bayless' opinions about LeBron James are wrong and always have been. LeBron James makes any NBA team a legitimate title contender, and brings unlimited marketing potential to the NBA team that pays his contract. Skip hates on LeBron for not being a a clutch 3-point shooter, the inability to win an NBA championship, showing up opponents, and the incident of Nike confiscating the Jamal Crawford dunk tape. Anyone who watched Game 5 vs. Detroit in 2007 or Game 3 vs. Orlando in the playoffs last year knows that LeBron is a clutch shooter from behind the line. LeBron has not had a supporting cast as of yet that would allow him to win an NBA championship. He doesn't show up opponents he's just having fun. And it wasn't his fault that the Nike officials at his camp had a rule about not filming any pick-up games.

There is no one in the NBA that can compare with his size and quickness, and he now has the pieces to win an NBA championship with the addition of Shaquille O’ Neal. Skip Bayless takes wildly unpopular stances and has made a career doing so, but his ignorance when it comes to LeBron James is simply astonishing. The man does not know the meaning of common sense. LeBron has every right to do the minor things he gets criticized for such as dancing on the sidelines, over-the-top player introductions, and not shaking hands after games. LeBron James is an unstoppable force and he continually imposes his will on opponents.

As a lifetime Cleveland Cavaliers fan, I know what the franchise looked like before he was drafted, and what it currently looks like now. Skip does not know what he is talking about when it comes to LeBron, and uses his "diabolical hater" status to rip on anyone that can get him press coverage. After the Cavaliers sweep the Lakers in the NBA finals following a 60+ win season, Skip Bayless will be forced to eat his words and admit LeBron James is the best player in the NBA. Somewhere deep in Skip Bayless' cold heart, he knows.. LeBron James is underrated.

Cavs win close game at home 104-99, watch your back Pryzbilla

Last night in Cleveland, the Cavaliers ended their losing streak by beating the Portland Trail Blazers. Led by LeBron's 33 points and 7 assists, the Cavs needed this one bad. LeBron recently spoke of Brandon Roy, saying he loves playing against him. "I love his game, real smooth and real calm, he's like one of the those quiet assassins," James said of Roy. "I love being able to go against him." While Roy may be a star on the rise, LeBron outplayed him last night and any unspoken "rivalry" between the two does not exist yet. Anderson Varejao also had a huge game for the Cavs, and Mike Brown deserves praise for substituting him in early during the second half for a struggling JJ Hickson. Hickson seemed out-of-whack offensively and defensively couldn't stop the powerful LaMarcus Aldrige, so Brown yanked him for Varejao in the first minute of the 2nd half, playing Varejao the rest of the game. Varejao subsequently responded with a season high 22 points and 10 rebounds. Shaq also played very well, adding 14 points and 11 boards. The Diesel was however injured when scrub center Joel Pryzbilla intentionally fouled Shaq and then forcefully scratched him in the eye. Pryzbilla is one of the biggest idiots in the NBA, and wouldn't be playing as much as he does unless Portland hadn't lost Greg Oden for the season. I'm sick of crappy teams taking out their frustration against the Cavs. Don't let it happen again Pryzbilla.. Shaq will respond much differently if it does.

LeBron and the Cavs need to stop playing down to the opponents level in the first half. It makes them look bad. Regardless, I was reading Brian Windhorst's article today in the Plain Dealer, and came across what was either a typo, or more likely just flat-out ignorance. His first sentence in the article reads as follows, "It is hard to attach the word underrated to any sentence that includes the name LeBron James." Wrong Brian. Don't let it happen again. It is very easy to attach the word underrated to a sentence that includes the name LeBron James. Ready for it? LeBron James is underrated

This just in: LeBron will not sign with Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010

LeBron James has stated that he wants to play for a title contender next year, and will sign with the team that he feels gives him the best chance to do that. Consider the Steelers out of the sweepstakes, after they were embarrassed in Cleveland last night by the 1-11 Browns. This win was a huge lift for a Browns franchise who had lost 12 straight games to the Steelers, (7 years of losing) and 10 in a row at home. No one expected the Browns to win this game, and the Steelers needed to win badly to keep their slim playoff chances alive. The defending Super Bowl Champions looked confused by the stifling Browns defense, led by Rob Ryan. The Browns did not even disguise their blitzes in this game, and still managed to sack Ben Worthlessberger 8 times. The Browns rushed for 171 yards and only needed the 13 points they scored in the first half to secure the win.

Not that LeBron would have played for the Steelers anyways, but this will definitely guarantee them no-shot at landing him in 2010. (what?) This season alone they've lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, the dysfunctional Oakland Raiders, and the Browns. Enough said. This is the equivalent of the defending NBA champion LA Lakers needing to win a game in April vs. the Clippers to keep their playoff chances alive, and failing miserably. Maybe this game will move the Browns forward in a positive direction, and LeBron will consider taking a leave of absence from the Cavs in the month of January 2011 to help the Browns hold up the Vince Lombardi trophy.

LeBron is staying in Cleveland, and those who think otherwise are buying into the media creation by the Nike LeBron camp to get people talking about him. He has no reason to leave a team and city that has a serious chance at winning a championship. The Brooklyn Nets and Knicks will not be contenders next year. He's not going to L.A. because Kobe is a selfish shovenistic prick and he doesn't want to share the spotlight. And he's definitely not going to the Steelers who can't beat the Browns when their season is on the line. LeBron is here to stay. LeBron James is underrated

Rockets hand Cavs second straight loss, Mike Brown loses mind arguing no-call

Don't press the panic button yet, but the Cavs have lost their 2nd straight game for the second time this season. Last night the Houston Rockets flat-out outplayed the Cavs, who were on the second night of a back-to-back. Shane Battier and Trevor Ariza did an excellent job discouraging LeBron from driving to the hole, effectively making him a jump shooter. "No one guy is going to stop Shaq. No one guy is going to stop LeBron," Battier said. "I thought our big guys did a great job of forming a wall behind the guy guarding LeBron, and just by being there it deterred some of the drives. And I thought we played really good help-side defense on everybody tonight."

In addition to a mundane 27 points on 21 shots, LeBron and the Cavs turned the ball over 20 times.. unacceptable. Mike "Clown" Brown got ejected in the first half for arguing a no-call on a drive by LeBron, and had an awesomely bad freakout. Talking about the ejection, Mike admitted, "I wanted a technical to get my point across," said Brown, whose team finished with five technical fouls, "but I took it a step too far." At least he showed some signs of life, as the Cavaliers did not. Another thing I applaud is that the assistant coaches really stepped their game up after Brown got tossed; They were standing and yelling almost the entire game when the Cavs were on defense. As you can tell there weren't too many positives to take away from this defeat, and the Cavs better get it together and start racking up some W's on this road trip starting in Portland on Friday night. Dear LeBron, you are the leader of the only legitimate professional sports franchise in the desolate city of Cleveland, and the city needs you to produce a winner. No more back-to-back losses please. We have the Indians and the Browns (who desperately need a win vs. Pittsburgh tonight). Think about it. The Cavs are our only shot. LeBron knows this, and I assure you he will end the championship drought in Cleveland. LeBron James is underrated

LeBron drops 43 as Cavs fall in OT to another sub-par opponent (Memphis)

Really Cavs? First the Bobcats, and now Memphis? The team that plays Pau Gasol's brother Marc? Marc Gasol is comparable to the unwanted child in the family who gets no attention at the Christmas party, consistently underachieves, and can't quite navigate out of the shadow cast by the "good" brother. The often-conflustered Austin Carr even refers to him as "Paul Gasol's brother". (For what it's worth, the Bobcats beat the Carmelo and the red-hot Nuggets last night, so maybe they're not that bad)

Last night in Memphis, the Cavaliers lost an overtime thriller despite season highs for LeBron's in both points (43) and rebounds (13). Rudy Gay played well in the 2nd half, after an abysmal performance in the first half. The Cavs owned a 16 point lead in the 2nd quarter, but the Grizzlies soon turned it around after haltime showing great poise and a willingness to drive the ball against the Cavs. They went on a 14-5 run in the 3rd quarter and cut the lead to 78-76. You may look at LeBron's stat line and say, "What were the rest of the Cavs doing?" But even though LeBron had 43 points, he made only 6 of his final 20 shots.. (not good). LeBron did help the Cavs get to OT with a layup that made it 100-98 Cavs, but Rudy Gay responded with a drive of his own, then forced LeBron to miss a difficult turn-around shot at the end of regulation. In overtime, OJ Mayo hit a clutch three, and then former O-State guard Mike Conley put the Grizzlies up 2. LeBron missed the final 3-point shot he took with 3 seconds remaining on the clock. Regarding the decision to jack up a 3-pointer instead of attempt to quick-drive, LeBron said this.. "With three seconds left in the game, that was pretty much the best shot I could take." Really? I'm not sure I agree with that one, but what LeBron says goes. LeBron James is underrated

Cavs blow out Bucks, Delonte West is relevant again

Last night, the Cavaliers looked unstoppable. In a game where LeBron James only scored 12 points, and his first field goal coming with under a minute to go in the first half, the Cavaliers bench and particularly Delonte West came to play. For myself, the 2nd Quarter of this game was the best basketball I have seen the Cavs play this year. Dunks were not in short supply, including multiple monster throwdowns from Shaquille and J.J. Hickson. But the star of this outing was Delonte West, who could not miss from the field in the second quarter. Delonte's offensive production shouldn't be a surprise to Cavs fans; The man may have emotional issues but surely can put the ball in the hole. The Cavaliers started this game down 11-0, and it looked like the Bucks may have a chance to run away with it. However, that was not the case. I remember looking at the score and seeing the Cavs climb back, while the Bucks missed 18 straight shots. We're talking a 36-6 run after the initial scoring by the Bucks, putting the Cavs up 37-17. LeBron and the rest of the Cavs bench was going insane while watching Delonte put on an offensive clinic in the second quarter. LeBron was consistently jumping out of his seat, and you could tell they were really enjoying this one. Like I said after the Mavericks game, when LeBron doesn't have to score all the points the Cavs are unstoppable, as he has proven to be a tremendous distributor adding 10 assists along with his 12 points. Do I even need to say it? LeBron James is underrated

Cavs dominate Bulls, Joakim Noah is a fool

Last night the Cavaliers defeated the Chicago Bulls handily, after a sloppy first half. During the second half, while LeBron was attempting a free-throw, Joakim Noah hurled insults at LeBron while he was shooting. LeBron made his way over to the Chicago bench, where Noah continued to call out LeBron. Is this guy serious?

You are a scrub on a terrible team, and nobody likes you. You are one of the ugliest players in the league. Thus, you do not call out the best basketball player in the world LeBron James for sideline dancing in his own arena.

You can bet LeBron will not forget this, and when the Cavs play the Bulls twice more this season somebody will put Noah in his place. Noah has gotten under the skin of many players in this league, but calling LeBron a "f****** as*****" from his bench was all-time dumb.

LeBron doesn't need more motivation, and this should secure several more beatdowns for the Bulls when they play the Cavs. Joakim Noah you are a freakishly ugly, ignorant, and insecure punk. Don't talk to LeBron while he shoots free-throws, or ever for that matter. LeBron James is underrated

Cavs bury Suns 107-90, Zydrunas sets record for games played

In Shaq's first matchup with his team from last year, the Cavaliers destroyed the Phoenix Suns. Though Shaq played with Phoenix last year, this game was overshadowed by the record set by Zydrunas Ilgauskas for most games played as a Cavalier. Following the debacale on Saturday when Zydrunas was not inserted into the game, Z made an entrance early in the first quarter to a standing ovation from a Cleveland crowd that appreciates the work this man has put in. Zydrunas has been a staple in the Cavaliers offense for years, and has earned the respect of Cavs fans as a solid center in this league. He deserves this award, and in this game Big Z showed why Zydrunas Ilgauskas is underrated; He is a knock-down shooter from virtually anywhere on the floor. The Cavs rocked the blue and orange throwbacks, which are by far the coolest jerseys they will wear all season. This game actually made me want the Cavs to forget the new wine-and-gold, and go back to the utter bliss of the blue and orange coloway. Regardless of what uniform they have chosen to wear, the Cavs have been playing solid, and their growing chemistry and flow of ball-movement should scare any teams (Orlando, Boston) that have to contend with them in the East. Zydrunas is the man. Mo Williams is the consistent PG we need. Hickson and Gibson are stars on the rise. Shaq is the dominant force the Cavs have needed. LeBron James is underrated

Mike Brown is ignorant, LeBron is upset

LeBron is upset with Cavaliers coach Mike Brown, and with good reason. The so-called "mastermind" of the Cavs failed to play Zydrunas at home vs. the Mavericks on Saturday, which would have made Z the all-time leader in games played for Cleveland. When asked why he essentially embarrassed Z by not playing him for even one minute, Mike Brown claimed that Ilgauskas did not fit into the gameplan. Oh really Mike Brown? Then why did Shaq play 25 minutes? Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain Dealer called out Mike Brown for this innexcusable offense, and I fully agree with him and LeBron. Why not at least start Z and then take him out so that he can get his standing ovation? Sometimes I think Mike Brown is oblivious to what's going on around him. Zydrunas should have made an appearance in this game, and he is justified in being pissed off at Mike Brown. Z is a class-act, and Mike Brown is an idiot for not playing him. Don't forget Mike, that if you piss off LeBron you can easily be replaced. Stop overthinking everything please Mike Brown, and don't make LeBron mad again. LeBron is the present and future of this franchise (and pretty much the Coach), you are not. LeBron James is underrated
